Heeeeelllllppppppp!

Oh gosh, what a busy few weeks. It's been crazy. I am trying to finish up work in the LA area in less than 3 weeks - but that means moving from hotel to hotel and basically having a nomad existence. Which is okay if it's South America, or New Zealand or Asia, but not LA! There aren't too many redeeming qualities about this area - aside from my friends in Simi Valley and Redlands and a bit of sunshine.... NOT that I've SEEN the sunshine or anything, been inside most days, haven't been working out. It's all I can do to get a hotel and something to eat and crash into bed. This working thing ain't all it's cracked up to be. And I've already gotten paid, so what am I doing???! lol

My friend that's my boss has me hooked up to do another little contract job, training the property managers on the company's new electronic timesheets. That's great. Still requires a small bit of travel (to the same areas I've been) but I'll be smarter this time and factor in travel fees and time. I just have to figure it out. She'd like to have me do little contracts until she can hire me again but I can't work in the Bay Area and live in Seattle.. And I'm staying in Seattle. :))

So, hubby is home and working on putting in a new bathroom. Down to replacing sewer pipes and putting in copper pipes for the water. He has another week or so before he needs to come down here - hopefully he'll get a chunk of it done. He's coming back to spend a few days in the sun with me and then we'll drive back to Seattle. I'm looking forward to getting home and I still have 2 weeks left!! lol

That's about it from here. I'm boring. I went from NO work to work, work, work. Now, if I can take a trip after this is all over, it'll be worth it~

Good luck!
A man walked up to my neighbor's window and sees me smiling and 'having fun'. He asks me if I'm married. I reply no. Then he says, "You like work, I don't. You can work and I can stay home." Just like that. Crazies. Ha!

You may have to work your butt off but at least you are missing the crazy monsoon-ish weather we are having. Too much rain even for a coastal girl!!

Grueling, isn't it? Ah, but it's all worth it. Live and learn. Next time, you'll make out a lot better monetarily. Plus, it's more trip money and that's all good.
SO great to see you, girl. Glad you could squeeze me in. :-)
xoxo

And when you're back, you *know* we have to get together!

Wow, your posts make me so very tired. I can't imagine doing all that you do!
