...was a song from Duran Duran's first album, I just remembered. I am probably dating myself but I was a huge fan and still would sit down and watch them on On Demand if only my child would stop shrieking to herself and drowning out Simon and the boys.
So, I'm finally taking a moment to write, it's been more than a month so I won't be surprised if no one's reading. Like I mentioned earlier, our battery charger died for the camera and then, well, I had to work during the day so I couldn't write on this blog as much as I used to. On top of that, add a 15-month old girl who wants to be on mamama's lap while mamama's looking at the laptop and then proceed to pound mamama's work-owned laptop really hard with her little paws. So we just don't get online too much. :)
Having said that, all is well and life is good. I started up at the gym after the new year as well as a no-drinking month (almost over, thank god!) in an attempt to take off a few pounds. It seems to have worked as I am on my way to 6 pounds lost this month (I know, that's too much but I had been eating/drinking a LOT). I finally feel good at the gym, instead of like I'm dying, and I can get up to get there at 6am just like the old days. E's all excited to see me when I come back from the gym even though I am sweaty and gross. It's the best kind of hug to get. She's truly a pet.
We are trudging through the finishing bits of the basement. M is tiling the bathroom this week and I can definitely see the end in sight, thankfully. I know he'll be glad to be done and I know I will be glad to see him done. So we can move. lol Actually, I'm not kidding. Most likely we will put this house up for sale in the summer. Where our future lies, at this point, I don't know. As long as we're all together, who really cares? :))

Awww...that last little bit is just so warm and sweet.
Glad to know you've survived your non-drinking month. (not that I ever doubted that you could do it!)
I do hope you'll post pictures soon. I'd LOVE to see how your little house looks after all of M's hard work and before it's up on the market!
15 months?! E is growing so fast! Pictures! (please...)
xoxo
Duran Duran. That's a blast from the past.
And I, for one, will always be here to read whatever you post.
Hey - Is M going to ever get some time off from the home improvement gig? lol
I'm here, I'm here!
Wow, it sounds like it's been quite a month for you!! Good luck getting through the home improvements, and like G, I hope you'll share some pictures with us soon if you're camera is back in business :)
Haha, you sound like me... fix up the house so you can move into the next place. Everyone thinks I'm crazy. Oh wait, maybe I am. :) When you put the house up for sale, be sure to point us toward the listing so we can drool over all of your (M's) hard work! ;)
When I tried to loss weight and it worked I did the pericone diet. It really worked. Also giving up drinking, he good excuse as lent is in a couple of days!!!
Ahh you have a little one, lucky you. But I have to say they don't out grow that stage of wanting to sit on your lap and always want to know what your doing, especially when your on the phone. You have a boyfriend as well? Yeah then you know you never get time! LOL
I found your blog through Joe's. Happy that your back!!!!
I want more posts!!!!!
6 lbs? I'm jealous. I hope you find your camera thingee soon so you can post pics of all the progress on the house.
I"m glad you're enjoying the little one. She is so precious and growing so fast! Speaking of which, another reason to get your camera back in business. More pictures of E! I love her cute little face.
xoxo
